It was so great seeing everyone at the shell show this past weekend! There were so many great exhibits and sellers with beautiful shells! Thank you to everyone who helped by volunteering and bringing donations to sell at the show. We made more than last year so hopefully every year we can do more than the year prior. All proceeds go back to the club so that we will always have a safe/ fun place to enjoy sea shells together.
Welcome to our New Members!!
This month for the Broward Shell Club meeting we will be making jewelry with shells. Crystal, our shell club coordinator will be teaching and showing how to use the dremel and drill holes in shells underwater and how to do simple wire wrap designs. Please bring bendable jewelry wire, favorite shells or sea glass, a dremel, glue gun, a small container that holds water, pliers, beads, earring wires, and string/ chains for necklaces. If you do not have any of these items, don’t worry, we will have tons of supplies you can use or purchase on meeting night. I can’t wait to see you all there!
Here’s the suggested general supply list suggested for any shell project:
- Placemat to cover work area
- Glue gun- Be sure it’s a high temp glue gun
- Glue sticks- for high temp glue guns
- Silicon glue pad. These are available near the hot glue section at craft stores. Loaners are available at meeting also

- Glue such as tacky gel glue
- Crazy glue or other fast drying glue

We look forward to seeing you on Monday, February 3rd.
